Weekend Football Accumulator Tips 28/09

It’s been a busy week on the football front with teams in both domestic cup and continental action and the excitement continues over the weekend with full Premier League and EFL coupons for punters to weigh up.

We’ve had a look at the fixture list and have put together a weekend fourfold which pays out at 10.63. Our weekend acca features three matches from the Premier League and one from the Championship.

Football Accumulator Tips: Sheffield United to beat Portsmouth @ 1.76

Sheffield United have made a fine start to their bid for an immediate Premier League return, claiming four wins and two draws from their opening six Championship matches, and the Blades should prove too sharp for Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Saturday.

Chris Wilder’s team have earned three straight wins over Watford, Hull and Derby, all to nil, while allowing their opponents a combined three shots on target across 270 minutes.

League One champions Portsmouth have struggled with the step up. They’re winless in seven in all competitions and have shipped six goals in losing their last two at home.

Football Accumulator Tips: Liverpool to beat Wolves @ 1.54

Liverpool can keep the pressure on their title rivals with a Saturday evening road victory at a sorry Wolves side who are bottom of the Premier League standings after five games.

The Reds have been dominant winners in four of their five top-flight outings and responded well to their shock 1-0 loss at home to Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago with triumphs over AC Milan, Bournemouth and West Ham.

Wolves, meanwhile, have claimed just one point and will lack confidence after succumbing to Aston Villa’s late show last week.

Football Accumulator Tips: Aston Villa to beat Ipswich @ 1.76

Aston Villa’s fine start to the campaign looks set to continue at promoted Ipswich Town, who could struggle to contain Unai Emery’s side’s potent attack in Sunday’s Portman Road clash.

The Villans have claimed 12 points from a possible 15 and that record could’ve been even better if Ollie Watkins had taken his two gilt-edged chances in the matchday two loss to Arsenal.

Villa will be hoping to conserve energy ahead of their midweek Champions League clash with Bayern Munich but they should still have enough in reserve to outclass Ipswich, who remain winless.

Football Accumulator Tips: Tottenham to beat Manchester United @ 2.60

Tottenham saw off Qarabag 3-0 in the Europa League on Thursday despite Radu Dragusin’s eighth-minute red card and they can continue their winning run when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Spurs have won three in a row in all competitions and, while a trip to Manchester is a tougher test on paper, their hosts have been unimpressive in recent weeks, claiming just four points from their last four Premier League matches.

United appear to have slipped back into their old ways, but Spurs are improving and Ange Postecoglou will be encouraged by the form of Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke, who have combined for five goals in Spurs’ last three.
