Premier League Tips: Andy Schooler’s Huge Preview, November 28th 2025

Premier League

After two winners from three bets in the Europa League on Thursday, Andy Schooler is back to preview this weekend’s Premier League action.

Premier League Tips: November 28th 2025 Preview

It’s now just one win in their last 11 away games for Newcastle and I’m rather baffled as to why they are considered favourites to win this one. They head to the Hill Dickinson Stadium three points and three places behind Everton in the table and will face a side who have won four of seven games at their new home, losing only once. The Toffees earned a morale-boosting victory at Manchester United on Monday, producing a sterling defensive effort having been reduced to 10 men inside 15 minutes.

Premier League Tips: Everton v Newcastle

Yes, Idrissa Gueye is subsequently suspended here but Everton’s improved squad can cope with his absence. Fears that the effort needed on Monday will have an effect here are quelled somewhat when you consider Newcastle went to Marseille in midweek – and lost. For me, this match is simply priced incorrectly. Everton are worth considering at 2.65 for the win but a better bet is the 1.88 about the hosts in the draw-no-bet market.

Premier League Best Bets: Aston Villa v Wolves

This column has had plenty of success with its team selections this season. With that in mind, and having another fancy, I’m going to pick another here. Wolves have now lost six in a row and there was not even a dead-cat bounce following the appointment of Rob Edwards, with the Molineux side losing 2-0 at home to Palace last time out. This weekend, they face one of the league’s most in-form sides – Villa have won 10 of their last 12 in all competitions and their last seven on home soil.

Bournemouth were crushed 4-0 in the most recent Premier League game at Villa Park and another comfortable win would be no surprise here. Six of Wolves’ 10 league defeats so far have been by at least two clear goals, including the last three away. Some will highlight Villa’s Thursday night game and quick turnaround but the fact is that they’ve won four out of four immediately after their Europa League outings this season. Back Villa to win this by two clear goals at odds-against, via the handicap market.

Premier League Tips: Nottingham Forest v Brighton

Sean Dyche has already delivered at Forest, who have won four of seven since his appointment, losing only once. A key man in that period has been Morgan Gibbs-White, who has scored in four of the six games he’s played. Admittedly, the England midfielder did miss Thursday’s Europa League win over Malmo but Dyche said his injury issue was “nothing serious” and the boss will certainly be keen to have him back for this one. Brighton may sit sixth but they’ve shipped 16 goals already – only Bournemouth in the top nine have conceded more – so you’d expect a buzzing Forest side to find the net here.

Right now, Gibbs-White is their most likely scorer and 3.5 about him netting in this one looks worth a go. If he is ruled out, the door may open for Ryan Yates to come into the starting XI. He scored against Malmo, a game in which had struck four shots. Yates has now landed the 2+ shots bet in three of five starts this season, so 2.5 about him doing so again in this one looks good value – if he starts.

Premier League Tips: Chelsea v Arsenal (Sun, 1630)

I have to admit I got Arsenal badly wrong in midweek when they were way too good for Bayern Munich. Their second-half performance was out of the top drawer and star of the show was arguably Declan Rice. He looks in top form right now and if he could grab a game that like by the scruff of the neck, I suspect he’s relishing this top-of-the-table encounter too. With his runs and passes from midfield, Rice was a constant threat, while his set-piece delivery was excellent and could easily have led to another goal.

In the end, there was no assist for Rice that evening but he has assisted in six of 15 starts so far this season. Chelsea did beat Barcelona in midweek but in the Premier League they’ve won just one of five against the current top 10, losing at home to both Sunderland and Brighton, games in which they conceded multiple goals. It’s not the greatest price in the world, but Rice for an assist gets the nod for this week’s props pick.
