Premier League Best Bets: Andy Schooler’s Huge Midweek Tips, December 1st 2025

Premier League Midweek Football Tips

There’s a full set of midweek fixtures in the top flight and Andy Schooler has picked out his usual three Premier League Best Bets – one team, one scorer and one props play.

Premier League Best Bets: Andy Schooler’s Midweek Tips

Fulham have been excellent at home so far this season – across all competitions they’ve won six and drawn one of eight such matches, losing only to Premier League leaders Arsenal and conceding just three goals.

Premier League Best Bets: Fulham v Man City

Meanwhile, City have lost three of their last five away in the league and are scratching around for form right now. Last midweek they were beaten in the Champions League at home to Bayer Leverkusen, while Saturday saw them blow a two-goal lead against lowly Leeds, albeit they got out of jail with Phil Foden’s injury-time winner.

This looks a tricky trip for Pep Guardiola’s men and while we know if they click they are capable of blowing anyone away, recent evidence suggests they will struggle to actually do so. Defensively, there remain serious concerns – Matheus Nunes continues to look very much out of place as their right-back – and I can see Fulham getting something out of this game. They are odds-against to do so.

Premier League Best Bets: Burnley v Crystal Palace

Burnley have now lost four on the spin and keeping goals out has been their biggest problem. They’ve now conceded multiple times in seven of their last eight games and only Wolves have let in more than the 27 the Clarets have shipped in the first 13 matches. This therefore looks a good opportunity for Palace to get back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats.

Their top scorer Jean-Philippe Mateta is odds-on to find the net at Turf Moor but that looks too short. Instead, the goalscorer value may lie in Yeremy Pino. He’s been a livewire on the Eagles’ left in recent times and has scored in two of his last three away games. The Spanish international has been getting plenty of shots away – 12 in his last seven appearances, getting at least one on target in five of those matches.

Against this defence, Pino should improve those numbers and he looks worth backing to score at 4.3. Before I leave this game, it may be worth checking Maxence Lacroix’s shot prices, once they go up. The Palace defender has had a shot in seven of his last 10 games and Burnley are the league’s leakiest team in terms of shots conceded. From set-pieces, Palace are second to Arsenal in terms of shots taken.

Premier League Best Bets: Bournemouth v Everton

Bournemouth have hit the skids somewhat of late with no win in four and 12 goals conceded across those matches. It’s hard for me to put Everton up to add to their misery though. I suggested they were a decent bet against Newcastle on Saturday and they were duly destroyed in rather uncharacteristic fashion. Woe is me. In addition, Everton have never won here since Bournemouth were promoted to the Premier League, losing six of eight with some awful displays thrown in for good measure.

However, one of their players is of interest here and that’s Michael Keane. Something of a renaissance man having looked set to leave the club in the summer, Keane has become Everton’s biggest threat from set-pieces this season and given the numbers, it’s strange that he’s often being priced up at a bigger price than James Tarkowski, who has taken something of a back seat. Keane almost found the net against Newcastle on Saturday and has now had a shot in seven of his last 11. In that run, he’s managed three against Crystal Palace and four against both Wolves and Aston Villa.

Everton are fourth in the set-piece shots list, while Bournemouth are fifth when it comes to shots conceded from such situations. Keane for 1+ shot is 1.55 which may interest those who like short prices but I’m prepared to take a chance on him hitting the 2+ line at 3.25. That’s the same price as Tarkowski who has managed just a single shot across the same 11 games.
