Six Nations 2025 – Dates, Fixtures and Times

The fixtures for the Six Nations 2025 have been confirmed, with the competing sides now able to take an early look at their schedules as they plot potential Grand Slam glory. Ireland retained the title in 2024, but their failure to secure a repeat Grand Slam due to losing to England on the penultimate weekend took some of the gloss off their success.

With 2025 a British and Irish Lions year, there will be extra motivation to perform for those representing the Home Nations as they eye a place in Irish boss Andy Farrell’s party for the tour of Australia. Of those not heading Down Under, France will look to rebuild both form and unity within the camp after a tumultuous time following their premature World Cup exit, while Italy will aim to kick on from their excellent 2024 campaign in which they beat both Scotland and Wales.

Six Nations 2025 Dates

The way the calendar falls means the tournament will have a slightly earlier start than usual, with the opening game taking place on Friday, 31st January. That is the sole Friday fixture, with the other round one matches held on Saturday, 1st February. From then on, there are two games on Saturdays and one on Sundays on the weekends of 8th February, 22nd February and 8th March, before the traditional closing ‘Super Saturday’, when all three round five matches will be played on 15th March.

There will also be fallow weeks running over the weekends of Saturday 15th February and Saturday 1st March.

Six Nations 2025 Fixtures

The tournament’s opening match on Friday 31st January will be played between France and Wales, before Scotland host Italy and Ireland look for revenge on England the following day. Round two features Saturday games between Italy and Wales and England and France, before Scotland host Ireland on the Sunday.

The tournament returns after the first fallow week and with a bang. Wales host Ireland before England aim to wrestle the Calcutta Cup back from the Scots. Then, it is onto an all-blue clash as France head to Rome in the Sunday game. Les Bleus then travel to Dublin in the opening match of the penultimate round, while Wales are in Edinburgh and Italy at Twickenham.

The final batch of games on ‘Super Saturday’ all have the potential for fireworks. They are Italy v Ireland, Wales v England and France v Scotland.
