Dave Chisnall is back with kwiff previewing a busy summer of darts, with ‘Chizzy’ still searching for that first trophy of the 2025 season.

We had another good trip last weekend to a very buoyant crowd at Fratton Park for a packed out exhibition on the south coast. We’ve had some good fun with the exhibitions this year, from Middlesbrough to Ipswich and to Ireland and back but I’m glad to be getting back to competitive darts again next week.
Dave Chisnall: Player’s Championship Darts
I’m looking forward to this week’s Player’s Championship events next week at Leicester and I travel down there on Monday after a relatively quite few weeks at home with the family. I’ve been doing plenty on the practice board, and, without jinxing it, I’m playing really well at the moment.
Some said I was a bit unlucky v Steve (Bunting) in the last events when going out in the semi-finals when losing a last-leg decider – despite hitting 2 x 180s in the last leg. But that’s darts – it doesn’t matter how well you play, if the other guy plays better.
Dave Chisnall: Euro Tour Darts
As well as next week’s Pro Tour, I’m also looking forward to the return of Euro Tour action when heading out to Kiel. I’ve got a good record at the Baltic Sea Open – despite going out in the first round last year. The Euro Tour has been good to me, and has kept me high up the Order of Merit (or the Ladder Series or whatever it’s now called) when I haven’t performed on TV as well I as I have been the last couple of years.
I’ve managed to win a couple of tournaments the last couple of years and I have probably underachieved this season so far. I’m ready to make a proper run of it now, and I’ll be disappointed if I don’t take home some silverware sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed I’ll be back talking about making room on my mantelpiece this time next week!
