It’s disappointing to be missing the Guineas Weekend due to suspension but there are some nice rides at Newmarket on Friday that can hopefully see us in the famous winners’ enclosure there.

Newmarket Preview: Objector (2.55)
Objector has a nice profile and connections will be hoping he will prove something of a Royal Ascot horse. He has an opening mark of 90 and will need to be competitive from this mark if he is to be booking his ticket for the royal meeting. He didn’t beat much in his two Wolverhampton successes but did it nicely and should go well on his turf debut.
Newmarket Preview: Paradias (3.30)
Paradias is a tough handicapper and has a bit to do in the weights ahead of the Gp 2 Jockey Club Stakes. He’s got a few pounds to find on his rivals but could spring a surprise if some of the market principles misfire. He’s up to a career-high mark as a 7yo and is clearly improving but mind find this a tough ask.
Newmarket Preview: Jel Pepper (4.40)
The Ollie Cole-trained Jel Pepper (4.40) should go well dropping back in trip to 7f having failed to stay a mile at Newcastle on Good Friday. He’s had to do a lot of his own running throughout his career but is undoubtedly a talented animal. He goes well over course and distance, winning the big sales race here in the autumn, and should improve for his seasonal reappearance.
Newmarket Preview: Paradise Walk (5.15)
She’s been something of a bridesmaid thus far but I’m hoping Paradise Walk (5.15) can get her deserved walk down the aisle ahead of the 6f Handicap. She’s been working nicely at home with the blinkers on, so we’re trying them on her ahead of her debut handicapping. It will be interesting to see how she gets on ahead of her turf debut but she’s in good form and doesn’t look too harshly treated from an opening mark of 78.
