European Football Acca – Weekend Tips

Premier League Best Bets

There are some tantalising fixtures in store across Europe this weekend, with important clashes taking place in France, Italy, Spain and Germany and we’ve picked out a European Football Acca for punters .

A relegation six-pointer in Serie A and battles for European spots in both Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga are all featured in our weekend accumulator, which provides odds of 16.80.

Cagliari vs Salernitana

Eighteenth-placed Cagliari host Serie A’s bottom side Salernitana on Saturday and a victory for Gli Isolani could see them climb out of the relegation zone. Managed by Leicester City’s title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri, Cagliari have struggled for the majority of the season but the Islanders are currently on a three-game unbeaten run and should expect to extend that against a side who have won just twice all season and find themselves nine points from safety.

Cagliari are only in the bottom three on goal difference and were held to a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture back in October, but a victory and draw over fellow relegation-threatened sides Empoli and Udinese – as well as taking a point from reigning champions Napoli – in recent weeks should give Ranieri’s side the momentum to take the crucial three points.

Girona vs Osasuna

Defeats against La Liga leaders Real Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Mallorca in recent weeks have seen Girona’s title charge wane, but they can return back to winning ways when they host Osasuna on Saturday. The Gironistes are second in the table and, despite a recent dip in form, will be expected to take all three points in this home fixture, given that they have won 11 of their 14 games at the Estadio Municipal de Montilivi in all competitions, losing just once.

Osasuna are also having a decent season by their standards, with Los Rojillos lying in 10th and just six points off of a European spot, but one league victory across their last nine away games in La Liga would indicate that a positive result may be too tall an order for Jagoba Arrasate’s men.

Lens vs Brest

Brest have been the shock of the season in Ligue 1, with Eric Roy’s side lying second in the table and nine points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, and they could extend their current 13-game unbeaten streak in the league with victory in Lens.

The hosts have won just one of their last five home games in all competitions and let a two-goal lead slip to lose 3-2 in the reverse fixture in August. They therefore may struggle to break down in-form Brest, who boast the second strongest defence in the division so far tis season.

Frankfurt vs Hoffenheim

It is sixth versus seventh in the Bundesliga on Sunday, and hosts Eintracht Frankfurt could increase the gap on the visitors to seven points with victory.

The Eagles are unbeaten in five league games at the Deutsche Bank Park, which included a 5-1 demolition of powerhouses Bayern Munich, while Hoffenheim have won just one of their last seven away games in the Bundesliga, losing four.

Frankfurt were 3-1 victors in the reverse meeting in Hoffenheim in October and have not lost at home to Die Kraichgauer since 2016, and history would suggest another victory is in store for Dino Toppmoller’s men.
