For our first weekly bet builder we’re going to focus on the Middlesbrough vs Swansea game, which kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday. We spoke on our season preview podcast about how we feel as though Middlesbrough are well-equipped to challenge for a playoff place this season, after what was ultimately an underwhelming season in 23/24.
A 3/1 bet builder to kick off the season
Key to their hopes this season will be Emmanuel Latte Lath – scorer of 16 goals in 23 starts last season following a big £4.3m move from Atalanta in summer of 2023. It wasn’t until the back end of the season where Latte Lath really started to hit top form. He notched 8 goals in his final 6 games – strong form that he has continued into pre-season, where he’s continued to score goals.
We’re selecting Latte Lath to be an anytime goalscorer and Middlesbrough to win in this match. As for Swansea, manager Luke Williams has had a full pre-season under his belt and some interesting/obscure recruitment to go with it. A number of players have come in from Asian leagues, who ultimately could be absolutely anything.
Whilst we think that Swansea will be completely fine this season, we’re anticipating a slower start for the Jacks, so also added Swansea to score under 1.5 goals to the bet builder.
