Four of the six rounds of Nations League group matches are over and we are beginning to get a clearer picture as to who will be battling it out in the quarter-finals, which will be played on a home-and-away basis in March.
Nations League Round Up: October 2024
The top two teams from each of the Group A sections will go through and it is little surprise to see holders and reigning European champions Spain at the head of the betting after a strong campaign so far.

Nations League: GROUP A1
Leaders Portugal drew 0-0 in Scotland after three straight Group A1 wins and they look to be in command of the section. Roberto Martinez’s unbeaten side are 1.21 to win the section and it looks as if they will be joined in the last eight by last year’s runners-up Croatia, who are 3.30 to top the group.
The Croatians could have made their task a lot easier had they not surrendered a 3-1 lead in a draw in Poland, but they are still three points clear with two games remaining. A win in Scotland will take Zlatko Dalic’s team through with a game to spare whatever the Poles manage in their final away game against the group leaders.
Nations League: GROUP A2
Italy and France are almost certain to go through after Randl Kolo Muani’s double gave Les Bleus a 2-1 win over Belgium on Monday. They are 1.52 favourites to go through as section winners as they prepare for a home game against Israel, who have lost all four of their matches.
Italy, who are a point ahead of France having won three and drawn one of their four matches, won 4-1 against the Israelis on Monday and are 2.00 to take the group honours.
Nations League: GROUP A3
Germany have already taken one of the qualification spots in Group A3 having earned ten points from their opening four games, with their latest success coming on Monday when a Jamie Leweling goal was enough to beat the Netherlands.
The Dutch look to be in a straight fight with Hungary for the second qualification spot after they played out a 1-1 draw in Budapest on Friday and the issue looks set to be settled when they meet again in Amsterdam on November 16. Bosnia are staring at relegation after gaining just one point from their opening four games.
Nations League: GROUP A4
Spain’s 3-0 win over Serbia leaves them three points clear and the defending champions look certain to make it through. The European champions look set to be joined by Denmark, who drew 2-2 in Switzerland on Tuesday, but Serbia will hope to draw level with the Danes by winning their next game against the Swiss while their rivals head to Spain. That could set up a winner-takes-all clash in Leskovac on November 18.
