Europa League Acca Predictions: Exciting Matches Await!

Europa League Acca

The second leg of the Europa League round of 16 matches is upon us and the majority of the ties remain competitive before the second game. There is also plenty of British interest with Brighton, Liverpool, West Ham and Rangers all in action on a busy Thursday. Here at kwiff, we have picked out a Europa League Acca for punters this Thursday.

Entertaining affair likely at Ibrox

Rangers reached the final of the Europa League two seasons ago and produced another impressive result in the competition after drawing 2-2 with Benfica in the first leg of their round of 16 matchup. The Gers led twice in that clash and another entertaining game looks likely when the two meet in Glasgow. Both teams have scored in six of Rangers’ last eight European matches and it is not hard to make the argument for that being the case again here for the Europa League Acca.

Gregoritsch could be key

West Ham lost the first leg of their Europa League tie with Freiburg 1-0 but they will be boosted by the fact that they have won their last ten European games at the London Stadium. However, David Moyes’ men have won just two of their last 12 games in all competitions and they will need to get the victory to keep their hopes of progress alive.

Freiburg’s Michael Gregoritsch scored the only goal in the first leg and looks overpriced to get another here. The Austrian has found the net eight times in the Europa League across the last two seasons and he is averaging a goal every 60 minutes in this year’s competition. The 29-year-old scored the winner against VfL Bochum at the weekend and could find his way onto the scoresheet again in this second leg if he matches his previous performance.

Portuguese side have Sporting chance

Sporting and Atalanta are one of three of the Europa League round of 16 games that have seen a pair who met in the group stages play again in the knockouts. The last two games between these two have finished in stalemate and Sporting look a big price to avoid defeat again here. The visitors have only lost one of their last 20 games in all competitions, all the while the home team are winless in their last five outings.

High-scoring clash likely at Anfield

With an FA Cup blockbuster against Manchester United looming and after having won the first leg 5-1, expect a heavily rotated Liverpool team to take on Sparta Prague in the second matchup between the two. Both of the teams have found the net in six of Sparta’s last eight matches in all competitions and nine of their last ten outings have produced three or more goals. Combine those picks with Liverpool’s youngsters likely to contribute to an entertaining affair.
