Dave Chisnall shares Liverpool prediction and reveals how his magic hands helped Jonny Clayton win in Switzerland

Dave 'Chizzy' Chisnall

Dave Chisnall caught up with kwiff after beating Jonas Masalin 6-4 in round one of the Dutch Darts Championship on Friday, setting up a weekend clash with Danny Noppert.

Chizzy reflected on his missed doubles in that match, gave a score prediction for his beloved Liverpool’s Premier League trip to Brentford and revealed how his pre-match massage may have helped Jonny Clayton lift the Swiss Darts Trophy last weekend!

Missed doubles prove costly at Swiss Darts Trophy

It was a mixed weekend in Switzerland last week. I beat Alan Soutar 6-5 in the first round before losing by the same scoreline to Josh Rock in the second.

I thought I put in a good performance against Josh, but it was just frustrating with the missed doubles. I missed two at double 18 to go 2-0 up and if I take them out, I think I win the game.

It’s the same old though, isn’t it? Ifs and buts, and just something I need to get my head around.

Chizzy survives Dutch Darts Championship opener

When you start to miss, it gets in my head, and the same happened against Finnish qualifier Jonas Masalin.

I think I missed 23 darts at a double – and still won! I eventually went through 6-4, but honestly, I shouldn’t have lost a leg.

If I play like that against Danny Noppert, it won’t end well, and it’s something I know I need to improve.

Before that, it had been a good week with not much darts being thrown. My little lad Parker turned five on Sunday, and that meant I was fortunate enough to miss Liverpool’s atrocious 3-0 defeat against Man City at Anfield.

Dave Chisnall’s Brentford v Liverpool prediction

It was nice to see us get a bit of a result against LASK in midweek, but we’ve still shipped three goals again.

In an ideal world, I’ll warm up for Saturday’s game with Danny by watching Liverpool do the business away at Brentford!

For those wanting a prediction, I’m going for a 2-1 Reds win.

Danny Noppert next

I’m expecting a better performance from myself on Saturday.

Once you get that first game out of the way, I feel I play better because the pressure is off a little then.

Danny is a great player, but I’ll be fancying my chances.

It would be almost impossible to miss that many doubles again, and providing my scoring stays as good as it can be, then I’ll be in with a shout at the very least.

There’s some good ranking points and prize money up for grabs, so I would love to go on something of a run.

Did Chizzy’s magic hands help Jonny Clayton win in Switzerland?

Weirdly enough, I gave Jonny Clayton a bit of a massage before he won the Swiss Darts Trophy last week, so I might have to see if The Ferret will return the favour to me here this weekend!
