After back-to-back doubles on Monday and Tuesday jockey Hector Crouch heads to Lingfield to ride Rajeko for trainer Michael Bell in the feature Listed Spring Cup. Read his exclusive thoughts for kwiff below.

It has been nice to ride a few winners, with a Monday double coming for James Owen (in back-to-back races) with first Khajaki and then Come on John winning nicely at Southwell. Both have been running well this winter on the all-weather, and it was nice for them to get their heads back in front – it was very much deserved.
Another Owen horse that has been kind to us the last few months is High Court Judge who has now won 6 times from his last 7 starts (5 with me on his back) and he’s a credit to the James Owen yard to keep getting further improvement out of him. That’s also now 5 winners from my last 9 rides, and fingers crossed that run continues into the start of the new turf season.

Having originally looked like a quiet week on paper, it’s actually quite a busy one. I’ll be making the long trip to Newcastle to ride my old pal Overnight Oats, and will be hopefully busy at either Chelmsford or Wolverhampton.
Before that however, I’m riding Rajeko in Lingfield’s feature, with Michael Bell’s 3yo with a good chance of landing The Spring Cup. It looks a good opportunity for him, after running really well when finishing second behind Al Qudra last month in Doha.
The only question mark will be the step back down in trip to seven furlongs, but obviously he’s the class horse in the race and I’m hoping he can give weight away to the George Boughey trained filly Bountiful. I’m excited to get back on him, and hopefully he can stamp his class here this afternoon.
