It’s Day 2 of The November Meeting and we’ve got 3 more Cheltenham Racing Tips, including a big each way fancy for Paul Nicholls in the feature PP Gold Cup.
Cheltenham Racing Tips: 3 x Huge Tips for your Saturday
Here we look at some of the major races on Saturday’s ITV card at Cheltenham, how they might influence the rest of the season and how you might go about finding some winners.
Cheltenham Racing Tips: Ginny’s Destiny (2.20)
Paul Nicholls didn’t hide the fact that he feels GINNY’S DESTINY is a ripe candidate for the Grade 1 King George at Kempton on Boxing Day and if that turns out to be the case, then he will surely be up to winning this contest on his return to action. The stable’s runners have often needed their first run of the season this term which is a slight concern, but stablemate Stage Star bolted up in this last year on his return so every faith will be placed in Nicholls to have one of his stable stars spot on.
Ginny’s Destiny was well beaten on his return last season but that was his first run for the yard since leaving Tom Lacey and he has done nothing but progress since, particularly around this course and distance. He won three on the spin over C&D, including beating Grey Dawning in a novice chase last December, before going on to defy a big weight in a handicap here in January. Second in a pair of Grade 1s later in the season, he could relish a return to handicap company.
Cheltenham Racing Tips: Itso Fury (2.55)
It has already been a whirlwind of a season for trainer Jonjo O’Neill who has been banging in the winners and has a couple of exciting horses on his hands. He can continue his fine run of form with ITSO FURY in this competitive contest. The son of Fame And Glory got off the mark over fences at the fifth time of asking at Wetherby this month, coming from the rear to power home in the closing stages.
He’s still only 3lb higher than his last winning mark over hurdles and he will get plenty of cover here so he’s expected to finish with a wet sail once again.
Cheltenham Racing Tips: Wyenot (3.30)
Henry Daly’s WYENOT is thoroughly unexposed at this sort of trip and she can strike again in the hands of Sam Twiston-Davies on her first try at 2m5f. She had the guidance of 5lb claimer Alice Stevens when winning a 2m4f handicap hurdle on her return at this track last month so life will certainly be more difficult 11lb worse off, but she was always doing enough on the day.
The fact that Wyenot has won four of her last six starts just shows how progressive she is, and she is well worth keeping onside until the handicapper has managed to catch up with her. It should be noted that local trainer Daly, situated not to far away in The Cotswolds, has had a rapid start to the season including a winner at last month’s Showcase Meeting here at the track.
