The standout game of the Premier League weekend is Arsenal’s visit to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, for what looks to be their final big test of the campaign.

However, they are preparing to face a United side who were thumped 4-0 at Crystal Palace on Monday and the Gunners are heavy favourites for the points.

The hosts are dealing with an extensive injury list, while morale in the camp seems to have hit rock bottom. Erik ten Hag can’t seem to adjust to the players he has available, which has led to United sliding out of the European spots.

Manchester United v Arsenal: Saka is Gunners’ road warrior

Arsenal should be good for a few goals at Old Trafford this weekend and the man who looks best to back is Bukayo Saka. Not only has the winger scored in each of his last two starts for the Gunners, but he is by far their biggest contributor on the road.

Saka has scored nine times away from home in the Premier League this season, more than twice as many as any other Arsenal player.

He averages a goal every other game in away trips and having recently bounced back from a tough spell, the England international looks good to expose a United defence which is in a dire state.

Manchester United v Arsenal: Rice can continue supporting role

Declan Rice featured as Arsenal’s deepest player earlier in the season, but recent weeks have seen Mikel Arteta let him off the leash. Playing alongside Thomas Partey has allowed Rice to push on, as seen by the fact he has an assist in each of his last three appearances.

The former West Ham captain has been involved in 15 Premier League goals in his first season in North London and Sunday looks like a perfect chance for him to add to that.

This United side were cut apart from all angles by Crystal Palace and they’ve been criticised for leaving too much space in midfield all season long.

Rice will be allowed to push into the space left by United in the middle of the park and he can keep his assist streak going and set up a goal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Manchester United v Arsenal: Gunners to cruise to comfortable win

United have conceded 18 times across their last seven games and the visitors will surely add to that this weekend, especially when you consider the Gunners have scored 13 times across their last four games – winning each of them.

Arsenal have the best record in the league in 2024, winning 14 of 16 games and scoring over three times per match.

They face a United team who have conceded exactly three times in three of five home defeats this term, while the Red Devils have conceded three times in all three meetings with the top two.

Arsenal aren’t just a great side going forward, they have recorded six clean sheets in their last seven away games in the Premier League. Back them to shut down this misfiring United side in a comprehensive 3-0 victory.
