EPL Football Tips: PL Best Bets, March 21st 2026
The inconsistency of Liverpool makes them hard to back at even money and I think Brighton could be the value here at almost twice that price.
EPL Football Tips: Brighton v Liverpool
They’ve rediscovered some form with a run of three wins in their last four and this is also a fixture in which they have a good record – two wins and a draw in the last three seasons. They’ve conceded just two goals in those four recent matches and won’t make it easy for the visitors, whose recent run of two wins and two defeats in their last five rather sums up the (relatively) disappointing season they are having.
Of course, they could yet win the Champions League – Wednesday’s 4-0 win over Galatasaray may well have restored some confidence – but the pressure is on in the race for a top-four (or five) finish. Liverpool currently sit fifth, two points behind Aston Villa and a point ahead of Chelsea. Brighton have already beaten Manchester City at the Amex this season – as well as Brentford and Newcastle – and may be worth a try here at the price.
EPL Football Tips: Spurs v Nottingham Forest
Richarlison played a big role in saving Everton from relegation a few seasons ago and I suspect that if Spurs are to survive, he will do so again. The Brazilian is a narky so and so but he’s certainly a player you’d want with you in the trenches and not one you’d like playing against as a defender.
The signs have certainly been good since he returned from injury – two goals, including a key one at Anfield last weekend where he played well and got into some great positions. In total, he managed five shots in that contest, including a couple of headers – he does provide an aerial threat. In what is a massive game for the hosts, he is one player you can count upon to be up for it. He will also be well rested having not played against Atletico Madrid in midweek.
I did consider over 2.5 shots at 1.9 and wouldn’t put anyone off backing that but instead I’ve opted to make him this week’s goalscorer pick. Richarlison can be a streaky player on this front – he scored in four of six in November/December prior to his injury – and his recent run can be built upon. 2.6 isn’t the best price in the world, granted, but it’s still one I’m prepared to back in the anytime scorer market.
EPL Football Tips: Everton v Chelsea
A couple of shots bets look good in this game but, as is often the case with the props markets, I do have concerns about the team news. Dwight McNeil has started Everton’s last three games but he could be asked to make way if James Tarkowski and/or Jarrad Branthwaite return here.
In those three matches, McNeil has managed shot tallies of 3-2-4 from his attacking role, wide in midfield. Cutting in and hitting shots has long been part of his game and I’m surprised to see him at 2.25 for 2+ shots in this game against a side who are in the middle of a bad patch, one which could be costing them Champions League football next season.
If McNeil doesn’t start, then the money may well be worth switching to Idrissa Gueye. The Senegal midfielder has really increased his shot output this season – only two players average more shots per game in the Everton squad. Since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, Gueye has landed he 2+ shots bet in five of his eight games, including three of four at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. He’s 2.55 to improve that stat with a couple of shots in this contest.
