Hull KR are the latest side trying to add their name to the Super League winners’ list, but the underdogs look set to leave Old Trafford with their tails between their legs ahead of the Super League Grand Final 2024.

Only four sides have landed the big prize and Wigan Warriors are bidding to do so for a seventh time. The Warriors are looking to defend the title they won 12 months ago, while aiming to complete a clean-sweep of silverware in 2024.
Matt Peet’s men are red-hot favourites for more Manchester glory, but Rovers are there on merit and won’t go down without a fight on Saturday evening (kick-off 18:00 BST) at the usual season curtain-raiser of the rugby league season at Old Trafford, in Manchester.

Only four sides have won the Super League Grand Final and Wigan look the best bet to get their name on the trophy for a seventh time, along with St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls. Hull KR are the sixth side looking to join the elite group, but just like Warrington, Catalans, Hull FC, Castleford and Salford, the Robins look set to be disappointed.
Make no mistake, though, they won’t go down without a fight and a Wigan win by no more than 12 points looks the best betting option on Saturday evening. Both sides are in fantastic shape going into this encounter, with Hull KR winning 11 of their last 12 matches, only Wigan got the better of them in that run, while the defending champions head to Manchester on the back of a seven-match winning streak.
This fixture is notoriously tight and damp conditions in Manchester on Saturday won’t help matters when it comes to scoring points. Wigan have won four of their last five meetings with Hull KR and it was 24-20 to the Warriors when the pair last met a little over a month ago. Another narrow win for the Cherry & Whites looks the most likely outcome.
Super League Grand Final 2024: Points at a Premium
Only one of the last six finals have been decided by 13 points or more and the last 10 deciders have featured points totals of 12, 36, 22, 12, 29, 16, 30, 18, 42 and 20. So going low of a 35.5 total also looks a solid option from a punting perspective.
Last season’s Grand Final between Wigan and Catalans was all-square at 2-2 after 40 minutes of action and finished with a 10-2 scoreline in favour of the Cherry & Whites. Wigan have won each of the last three deciders in which they have appeared, but they were all tight tussles and the winning margins were 8, 8 and 6 points, so it would be no surprise to see this contest finish with a similar outcome.
