Carabao Cup Betting Tips: Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool

There’s midweek action in England from the Carabao Cup as the remaining seven spots in the last-16 are up for grabs across Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Premier League clubs competing in European competition this season are now set to join the fray, with Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool amongst the big guns with home advantage.

Our Carabao Cup treble pays out at odds of 7.35 if successful and features games involving City, Leicester and the Reds.

Carabao Cup Betting Tips: City to Face Watford Challenge

Man City vs Watford – Total Goals Under 3.5 @ 1.80

Pep Guardiola is sure to field a much-changed side when Watford come to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening after a bruising and hard-fought tussle with Arsenal on Sunday.

The City boss won this cup four years on the trot from 2018 onwards but his Citizens haven’t graced a final since beating Spurs in 2021.

That isn’t to suggest they are vulnerable now, but Watford are a solid Championship and, after going three games without a win in the second tier, the Hornets will likely be set up to frustrate City’s second string as best they can.

City should win with a degree of comfort but a landslide isn’t forecast, so backing three goals or less is the pick.

Carabao Cup Betting Tips: Foxes vs. Saddlers

Walsall vs. Leicester – Highest Scoring Half – 2nd half @ 1.90

Premier League side Leicester City head to League Two Walsall and the Foxes are favourites at 1.35 to get the win at the Bescot Stadium.

Walsall made it three wins on the spin as they beat Salford 2-0 on their travels at the weekend to climb to third spot in the fourth tier.

It is, however, a massive ask for Mat Sadler’s side to try and knock off Leicester, even if Steve Cooper is likely to rotate his squad.

The Saddlers have only been breached twice at home in league action so far.

In the previous round, they beat Huddersfield Town at home, with four of the five goals scored after half-time, while the home side also missed a second-half penalty – though teenager Nathan Lowe atoned with a brace of goals as they came from behind to win.

Leicester will have to work hard to get their win here and, as was the case in the last round, the goals may flow after the interval when the contest opens up.

Carabao Cup Betting Tips: Nunez Shines as Liverpool Cruise

Liverpool vs West Ham – Darwin Nunez Anytime Goalscorer @ 2.15

Darwin Nunez got his first Liverpool start of the season on Saturday and the Uruguayan forward duly found the net with a terrific curling shot as the Reds coasted to a three-goal half-time cushion against Bournemouth.

West Ham were on the end of a three-goal loss themselves, offering little resistance as Chelsea visited the London Stadium.

The Hammers are winless in three since edging out the Cherries last month in this competition and may struggle to contain the Reds at Anfield, as the hosts bid to keep their quest for a third Carabao Cup in four years on track.

Arne Slot will be another manager with rotation in mind, but Nunez hasn’t got many miles on the clock this term and should see another start.

The powerful forward can hit the back of the net in successive games.
