Ryder Cup 2025: Captain Keegan Bradley HUGE Wildcard Picks

Ryder Cup 2025

USA will be eager to win The Ryder Cup 2025 and wrestle the trophy back from Europe at Bethpage Black later this year and captain Keegan Bradley has some key decisions to make when it comes to his six picks.

Ryder Cup 2025: USA Possible Wildcard Picks

As things stand, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa, Maverick McNealy and Patrick Cantlay occupy the six automatic spots. Here are some potential wildcard selections for US skipper Bradley.

Ryder Cup 2025 Wildcards: Brooks Koepka

LIV Golf players are available to play in the 2025 Ryder Cup and it would be a surprise if Brooks Koepka was not be handed one of the six captain’s spots, given the fact he won the 2019 US Open at Bethpage Black. The 34-year-old is benefitting from a lighter playing schedule, allowing his body to recuperate and keeping him free of injury, while he has plenty of Ryder Cup experience having featured in four editions.

Ryder Cup 2025 Wildcards: Jordan Spieth

Another player with plenty of Ryder Cup experience is Jordan Spieth and the three-time Major winner will be hoping he can rediscover his form in time for selection. The 31-year-old has proven to be a great teammate in previous editions, having formed successful partnerships with Patrick Reed and Justin Thomas, and he will be fired up after failing to win any of his four matches in Rome in 2023.

Ryder Cup 2025 Wildcards: Patrick Reed

Patrick Reed also plies his trade on the LIV Tour and, while he may not be the most liked player in the world of golf, the fact he won the 2019 Barclays at Bethpage Black gives him an extra edge. The 34-year-old, once dubbed ‘Captain America’, would be participating in his fourth Ryder Cup should he make this year’s event and his experience could be invaluable.

Ryder Cup 2025 Wildcards: Justin Thomas

A three-time Ryder Cup player, Justin Thomas is a fierce competitor when it comes to the team events and he will also be hoping to make amends after a poor showing in Rome. The 31-year-old has rediscovered his best form over the past year and he currently sits ninth in the world rankings following a tied-ninth finish at the Genesis Invitational. This could be a big year for Thomas, who hasn’t won since landing the 2022 PGA Championship, and failure to make the Ryder Cup team would be a big blow to him.

Ryder Cup 2025 Wildcards: Sahith Theegala

One of America’s brightest stars is Sahith Theegala and he has already been part of a winning USA team, having contributed 1.5 points at the 2024 Presidents Cup. The 27-year-old has won once on the PGA Tour – at the 2023 Fortinet Championship – but it won’t be long before he returns to the winners’ circle and a second title this year would help his cause.

Ryder Cup 2025 Wildcards: Tony Finau

One of the most likable players on tour, Tony Finau is one of the biggest hitters in golf and that extra power often makes him a good team-mate when it comes to fourballs. The 35-year-old’s short game has improved over the past couple of seasons, making him a serious threat when it comes to the Majors, so it would be no surprise to see him get the nod from Bradley.
