A rock at the back for the Foxes that season, Schmeichel went on to play for Nice and Anderlecht, before finally finding a new home at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic. Still performing at a high level with both Celtic and the Danish national side, the 38-year-old shotstopper still looks to have plenty of years ahead of him between the sticks.

A tireless runner down that right channel, Simpson put in some serious miles during that Premier League title-winning campaign. Finishing his career in the Northern Premier League with Macclesfield, Simpson announced his retirement from football on July 26th, 2024 and has since been involved in Misfits Boxing.

A no-nonsense centre-back, Huth came into his own at Leicester after impressing at Stoke City. Clearly a player who fell in love with the Foxes, Huth is still at the King Power Stadium as the club’s loans manager.

The man with the armband, Morgan’s leadership was key in helping Leicester stun the football establishment in England that season. After retiring in 2021, Morgan is now showing that same leadership off the field, working with the Premier League Black Participants’ Advisory Group and PEPS program.

Another vocal figure in the backline, Fuchs emerged as a fan favourite for his efforts at the King Power Stadium. Fuchs went on to play in the MLS switch Charlotte FC before taking on an assistant coaching role at the club.

Regarded as a Premier League great by many, Kanté did much of the unseen work in the middle of the park for Ranieri’s side. At the age of 33, the defensive midfielder is currently plying his trade in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ittihad.

A player who peaked during his time at the King Power Stadium, Drinkwater was another key cog in the midfield. Unfortunately, a high-profile move to Chelsea did not work out for Drinkwater and, after several loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, he decided to retire back in 2023 and now works in construction.

Another fan favourite in the side, Marc Albrighton formed a great partnership with Simpson down that right channel. Albrighton cemented his place as a Leicester great by helping the club secure the 2023/24 Championship title before announcing his retirement on August 29th, 2024.

A jewel in the Leicester attack, Mahrez was sensational that season and was named the PFA Player of the Year for 2016. After a successful spell at Manchester City, Mahrez is also now in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli.

Perhaps one of the unsung heroes in this side, Okazaki was a menace in the final third for defenders to deal with. Finishing his career in Belgium with Sint-Truiden, the Japan international called time on his playing career at the end of the 2023/24 season.

THe Foxes top goalscorer that season with 24 Premier League goals and just missing out on the Golden Boot by a single goal, Vardy’s goals were vital in Leicester’s Premier League title success. The only active player still in the team at Leicester, Vardy will go down as one of the greatest forwards to put on the blue shirt.
